***After I changed the option.ini res setting to 1440x900 to match my monitor's setting, it did seem to affect the F12 ability & allow for a ws screen shot.*** I don't know if that affects the screen shot parameters as well. There've been posts about being able to change resolution settings beyond the defaults available. My attempts at screen shots resulted in the same images as those submitted before, though of course I KNOW I was viewing it on a ws monitor.
Apparently the screen shot (F12) function is limited to capturing a 4:3 image. Ok, I've tried it now, and the screen shots others have provided above reflect the changes I've experienced as well. I guess I still don't know yet how it'll look on my ws monitor. The screen shots both strangely appear to be 4:3 ratio though. I think it's interesting that it's been available for so long but is only being used by some, while it's either unknown or still rejected as a cheat by others. I wanted to know people's reviews on it before I tried it since I didn't want to cheat, oos, lag, or mismatch by using it. I haven't tried it yet to see for myself, and I can't remember ever playing BFME on anything other than a widescreen monitor. These screen shots by others seem to show that this "eyepatch" does a bit more than merely compensate for 4:3 to widescreen cropping. This causes the camera to zoom in more to the ground cause it keeps thinking in 4:3 aspect ratio = resulting an disadvantage to play. the wide screens stretch out in width more than in height. ||-> Zoom-out/MapsWS Is created cause the game only supports 4:3 aspect ratios. There are allways those that have no clue what they are talking about, but pretend to be knowing all the facts.
